Фестиваль Малых Рек
creative direction | design conception | production
Small Rivers Festival is a multi-format urban festival that we put together to demonstrate that a clean living river flowing right next to home can become the center of gravity of a neighborhood. The Golovinsky Channel situated in the northwest of Moscow was the principal character of the Festival. It was built in 1940 to serve as the artery connecting the Khimki Reservoir and the Likhoborka River. Thanks to regular upkeep and the cleaning undertaken in 2017, the channel continues to do an important job for the city – it supplies water to the Yauza River from Volga through Norishka and the Golovinskiye Ponds.

The Festival program included numerous activities for children and adults of all ages: a market and a food court from the Veter Magazine, workshops from the "MOGU" Architectural Bureau, Playtronica, Matopaper, Ping Pong Сlub Moscow, graffiti jam and the "Vkus Bumagi" print market, art-installations from SENSE and Varenye Organism, as well as a garage sale, workshops for dads, a performance by the band "Lovanda" and the "Label" label etc.

River, channel, and pond – it is the regeneration of the neighborhood's ecosystem, the foundation of its residents' identity, and an environment conducive to friendly socializing and good-neighborliness.
