A teaser for the annual GARAGE Art Experiment, this time dated to the 180th anniversary of photography. On January 7, 1839, Dominique François Jean Arago, a physicist, presented a report at the Paris Academy of Sciences describing the achievements of Nicéphore Niépce and Louis Daguerre, demonstrated a photograph that had been taken using a camera obscura, and announced: "From now on, the ray of sun has become an obedient draftsman of everything around". This date ended up making history as the date of birth of photography – a popular light registration technology available to absolutely everyone today.
